Islamic Studies by Jama Masjid

Jama Masjid provides the following courses of study:

Hafiz course(Islamic Studies): Is the memorization of the Holy Qur’an. The person who commits the entire Qur’an to memory is called a Hafiz.

Aalim course(Islamic Studies): Leading the candidate to become an accepted scholar in the community.

regular curriculum includes courses in Arabic, Tafsir (Qur’anic interpretation), shari’ah (Islamic law), Hadith (recorded sayings and deeds of Prophet MUHAMMAD), Mantiq (logic), and Muslim History.

Quranic Arabic(Islamic Studies): The object is to enable the students gradually to read the Qur’an properly. Quranic Arabic is currently covered in different graduated levels, starting from ‘alif, baa taa’ to reading the Qur’an properly. Islamic Studies and Qur’anic Arabic both help in covering memorization and understanding with translation of the short Suras at the end of Part (juzz) 30 of the Qur’an Islamic Studies: To provided basic understanding of Islamic Beliefs, Islamic Practices (Ibadat), the Seera of the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) and lessons from the stories of the Prophets in the Qur’an. Lessons on Ethics (Conduct and Behaviour) from the Qur’an and the Sunna of the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh). Brief introduction to some early Muslim elders/leaders and to the World of Islam. The scope of educational activities have to be optimized because of the limited teaching-hours available The following objectives have been set based on input and feedback by the parents and the school experience over the past many years. Achieving these objectives is a joint responsibility of the school and the parents:

Full time Hifz Program : 5 days a week from 9AM-3PM

Madrasah Madinatul Uloom 5 days a week (Monday to Friday). Time: 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

For Children of Ages 5 years and up.
